Being Stephen King

While wandering randomly through the intertubes, I ran across this article, wherein MSN/NBC/Newsweek/whoever asked a bunch of celebrity baby boomers to name three things they wanted to do before they greeted the reaper.

Most of the list is superficial stuff, mental cotton candy for a slow news day, but I was somewhat surprised that the only celebrity's list who I felt closest to -- meaning "Hey, yeah, I want to do those things too!" -- was reknown horror novelist Stephen King's:

1. To live to see George W. Bush tried for crimes against humanity.
2. To fly in space -- orbital would be fine -- and to write about it.
3. To see "American Idol" canceled.

Heck, I'll gladly settle for two out of three.

And considering I've never been a horror fan and never read any of King's novels, now I wonder if I should give him a try...
