It's Keanu time for Anna

[Updated 9:04am 2/9/2007] Okay, I'm not usually the kind of person who dishes out salacious gossip on the bubble-headed celebrities du jour, but even I did a double-take for this:

I don't know what's more surprising, that Ms. Smith died so abruptly, or that she died at such a (relatively) young age at all. Then again, I'm not up on all the wild and crazy stuff she's done; the autopsy report ought to be interesting, at least.

I also wonder if Ms. Smith's abrupt death will give her fellow celebutantes a reason to stop for a moment and reconsider their unrestrained lifestyles, at least long enough to get off the front page of the tabloids for a week or so. It's probably too much to hope for, thought -- with my luck, they'll decide to mourn Ms. Smith's passage with a 72-hour binge drink-a-thon wake instead.

Considering that Ms. Smith's death is getting 500% to 700% more news coverage than the Iraq war, this is eerily close to the truth.
