More funner news with gays

As a follow-up to my last blog entry, here's another example of how homosexuals make news just so much more hah-lar-i-ous (at least, if you have the same bizarro twisted sense of humor I do).

Folks, meet Tom Tancredo, the Colorado Representative who's hoping to become the Republican nominee for President in 2008. And meet Tyler Whitney, webmaster for Tancredo's campaign website and an up-and-coming star in the GOP ranks.

Not surprisingly, Tancredo -- like the rest of the Republican hopefuls -- is running an unabashedly anti-gay campaign. Also not surprisingly, Whitney's been there in ideological lockstep, including such lovely stunts like protesting a pro-gay human rights ordinance with a sign reading "Go back in the closet!"

Can you guess the punch line already? C'mon, give it a try...

Yes, Tina, that's right -- Tyler Whitney is actually gay! Grinning smiley I haven't seen such blatant sexual-political hypocrisy (is that even a word?) since Newt Gingrich admitted to having an affair while impeaching Bill Clinton for marital infidelity back in the '90s.

Even funnier is that while Whitney himself offers "no comment" when faced with his own hypocrisy, a spokesman for the (remember!) fiercely homophobic Tom Tancredo handwaves the issue away by declaring "A person’s sexual preference is a personal matter and has nothing to do with the campaign." Eye-rolling smiley

Or, in other words, if Tyler Whitney wants to work against his own folks for a man who's campaigning against gay rights, we're thrilled to have him on our team! Grinning smiley Grinning smiley Grinning smiley

Remember, kids -- gays make news funner!
