In light of the tragic collapse of Missouri's 35W bridge, I wonder -- once again -- why Republicans love to brag about how they're slashing government to the bone and drowning it in the bathtub, then blame the government when it lacks the resources to prevent or respond to public issues like fallen levees, exploding steampipes, and collapsing bridges...
