Reaffirming my faith in humanity

So I was just moseying around the internet when I came across the following amusing news article:

Naked Halloween Party Cancelled

It was going to be a Halloween party like no other: live music and invitations for adventurous souls willing to test the boundaries of costume and bare skin.

Then, like any good horror story, the ax fell.

The "Skinful Halloween" bash that tempted guests to go "as nude as you dare" in the name of charity has been called off just days before the party was to start.

Organizer Brian King called the effort a monumental headache that simply got out of hand, while area James Island residents are relieved that a potentially R-rated theme party of beer, bands and overnight camping won't unfold nearby.

It's a titillating read, sure, but what really caught my attention was the newspaper's accompanying poll:

Would you be opposed your neighbors throwing a sexy Halloween party?

[    ]   Not as long as I am invited.
[    ]   Yes. Its just not appropriate.

With a smirk, I wondered how many people would be honest enough to pick the first choice, then clicked on the "see the results" link:

Not as long as I am invited. 89% 1023 votes
Yes. Its just not appropriate. 10% 124 votes

1147 total votes

Of course, now I'm wondering if we could conduct this poll without internet anonymity and see how different the results would end up...
