Always look on the bright side...

Whatever plans I had for the weekend were tossed out the porthole when I got sidelined with a 103-degree fever and a case of bronchitis. After three trips to the doctor and two antibiotics shots (to the tuckus, even -- yowchie), I'm mostly back on my wobbly feet.

"Yeah? So?" you ask.

...

...and noticed tonight that I managed to lose eight pounds in the process.

I just find that to be rather Monty Python-esque and wanted to share that. Then again, given that the Pythons frequently used black comedy themselves, perhaps that's not surprising.

...

...I'll just go have a lie-down now, okay?

(It was much wittier when I first thought of it, honest)

...it's mostly water loss. But it's possible to keep illness-lost weight off if you try. Just exercise a little, or eat a little less than before, you'll find your body "resets" to the new base weight.
