Joe Ranft Died

Damn!

Pixar story and voice kahuna Joe Ranft is dead.

What really irks me -- aside from Joe's untimely passage -- is that I didn't find out about this until I was flipping through this week's copy of Time magazine. I literally yelped in shock at the news, something I very seldom do.

Even though the mainstream media has largely ignored the news (hence my surprise), I recommend visiting this blog for a look at the event from a fellow Pixar artist.

Damn damn damn. Now I have an urge to cue up A Bug's Life (a cartoon that often gets undeservedly dinged, IMO) and watch it again...
