To celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Transformers and G.I. Joe animated movies, in 2007 Devil's Due Publishing released G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers 4: Black Horizon, a double-sized two-issue limited series.

Continuing directly after the last G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers series, General Clayton "Hawk" Abernathy is having strange premonitions while a rogue team of Transformers struggles to stop misuse of illegal Cybertronian technology.
