Story

Atop the Himalayan Mountains, Cosmos and Firewall are fruitlessly searching for Flint, Hawk, and Optimus Prime. An icefall strikes; Cosmos falls down the mountainside, while Firewall lands in a cavern, where she's confronted by a Yeti snarling rudimentary English. Elsewhere, Lord Golobulus admonishes Pythona for allowing Joe Colton to escape, then orders her to awaken Nemesis Enforcer.

At the Pit in the Utah desert, the G.I. Joe team prepares for deployment while Duke and Lady Jaye brief General Flagg and receive authorization for a mission to Tibet. And at a NORAD Command Center in Cheyenne, Unicron speaks again, with a voice that blows out their equipment from the overload.

As Optimus Prime, Flint, and Hawk escape through the tunnels of Tibet, Hawk is astonished at Joe Colton's years of captivity. Colton explains that Bludgeon and his team were damanged by the Chinese when they arrived on Earth, then reached a deal with Cobra-la for repairs and developed their organic Pretender technology. When they're ambushed by Bludgeon and the Cobra-la guards once more, Joe Colton and Optimus Prime fight them while Hawk frees Flint. Prime manages to rip open Bludgeon's chest, causing him to fall off a ledge overlooking a deep chasm. Prime tries to rescue him, but Bludgeon melts Prime's hand and merrily falls to his death. As Colton defeats the last of the guuards, he explains that he stayed a "prisoner" for all these years to learn Golobulus' plans.

In another chamber, Pythona awakens Nemesis Enforcer by slicing her palm, using her blood to bind his obedience. And as people around the world watch Unicron's approach, Firewall is found shackled to a cave wall and dressed in ceremonial garb. Dr. Mindbender informs her that she will be sacrificed to herald Unicron's arrival.

'Kung-fu grip!'
Finally, a battle cry even sillier than "Cobralalalalala!"

Squeezing through narrow passages, Flint and Colton reach a chamber containing Golobulus' cache of metal-eating spores. They are then attacked by yetis, but the fight is interrupted when Cosmos crashes through the ceiling and helps defeat the creatures. Colton grabs a surviving yeti and starts interrogating it to learn Firewall's whereabouts.

In a Himalayan pass, the arriving Joes are intercepted by the Monster Pretenders, who attack them in their combined form as Monstructor. Elsewhere, Colton reunites with Optimus Prime and Hawk while Cosmos and Flint flies into space with a bag full of spores. The two reach Unicron as he transforms into his robot form, then they fly into his mouth and fight past Unicron's antibody defenders as they search for his brain.

Firewall's sacrificial ceremony before all of Cobra-la is interrupted as Hawk and Colton drive Optimus Prime through the crowds. As a giant insect attacks Optimus Prime, Hawk and Colton battle their way to Pythona. Nemesis Enforcer dives down from the sky and snatches Colton, who uses a procured sword to slash off his right wing. Crashing to the ground, the two continue their fight; Nemesis Enforcer quickly gets the upper hand with his superior strength, prompting Colton to try to appeal to Pythona's compassion for help.

Topside, the Joes finally defeat Monstructor when the Laser Squad concentrate fire and destroy his head. Underground, as Hawk tries to stops Golobulus from sacrificing Firewall and Optimus Prime defeats the giant insect, Pythona sneers at Colton's ignoble end, then abruptly backstabs Nemesis Enforcer and allies herself with the Joes.

Inside Unicron, Cosmos reaches Unicron's brain, only to get shot down by internal defenses. Flint emerges with a bag of metal-eating spores, then fights through the throngs and shoots the bag open near the brain. The two quickly escape as the spores cause Unicron to begin burning wildly.

In Cobra-la, Optimus Prime battles Lord Golobulus as the other Joes finally arrive, and their combined might propels the heroes to victory. In the post-combat cleanup, Joe Colton muses about how he'll readjust to civilization after twenty-five years in captivity, and Cosmos and Flint reunite with the others.

The next day at the Pit, Optimus Prime watches as the other Autobots re being repaired, but is soon corralled by Firewall and Eject into watching bad television shows. Outside, Joe Colton is introduced as the leader of a new G.I. Joe space team that will travel to Earth orbit and rescue the liberated inhabitants of Unicron's body.

And in a secluded mountainside near Denver, Colorado, Hawk and Carolee reconcile their relationship.
