BotCon 2002 - Kaickul

Hello All!

I met a lot of people at the BotCon this year and having some of them tell me that I should post more, I thought that this may be a good time to do so. So, having went thru the Aftermath(yes, the last of the laundry is now done), I have a little time to post. And to you that I got e-mail address from, I plan to send you some mail tonight!

Once again, 3H have outdone themselves! Only know, 3H Enterprises is known as 3H Productions Inc. A nice little change, official in Hasbro's eyes! Yup, sure thing and a fan club to come in the next few months. Congrats to the H's for a wonderful year!

Panels, panels, panels...voice actors, editors, writers and directers: you should have been there. They all had excellent panels...informative and funny at the same time. A touching moment: Dick Gautier and Mike McConnohie described working with Scatman Crothers and Chris Latta. It was good that we could know these actors even though they are not with us anymore. On a slightly funny note, Bob Forward went all the way around the Beast Machines issues. As it turns out...lets say that he wasn't terribly impressed with it.

Dreamwave panel Let's hit the Dreamwave Panel next: Pat Lee is a huge TF fan! If was not apparent then, it is certainly now! Very informative with the crew of Dreamwave outlining most of its plans for the next couple of years. And then there's Furman...this guy is just simply cool! I have no other way to describe him...thanks to you all! The Hasbro Panel where all recording devices are forbidden: so much information that it makes your head spin. Some announcements: No Fort Max until safty issues can be addressed and DEFINATELY NO REISSUE MEGATRON! For some reason, a Megs with hunter orange on most of him just didn't look right and Hasbro decided nay. With respect of courseSmiley

The Dealer Room...you have to stand in awe at the site of SO MANY TRANSFORMERS for sale in the same place! Tons of stuff to buy and so many pictures of things that you couldn't buy to take. Managed to snag my 5th sealed Autobot Car this year: Mirage. Prerub sign...perfect. I have a thing for those cars, so I figure I can find one a year until I have them all. Yeah, I know the reissues are cheaper, but I am a but eccentric when it comes to originals! But, I did not find the sealed Thunderwing...a mainstay on my list for the past couple of years. Bummer...ah, there's always Chicago!

And, to wrap it up for now, the 3H Panel. Snagging another Genesis artwork of Cryotek and Primal Prime duking it out was awesome! That and a flurry of information made it a bit overwhelming! If you missed it, they detailed pretty much everything from what the dinner exclusive was to be(a animation cell from Armada) and why they were not able to get it. And, why Armada toys were passed out instead. Tons of info, lots of questions...a nice wrap-up to another awesome convention! If you missed this panel, you missed a lot of explanation and thought into what 3H is thinking for a long time to come...
