1999 - Beast Wars Neo

Continuing the resurgent Transformers franchise, Takara premiered Beast Wars Neo in February 1999. With capsules of Angorumoa energy scattered across the galaxy following the events of Beast Wars Second, the Destron leader Magmatron rallies his troops in a quest to gather them. In response, the Cybertron elders appoint the legendary squad trainer Big Convoy to lead a team of recruits to foil their plans.

Their quest takes both Cybertron and Destron across the galaxy, where they encounter alien beings, strange phenomena, and the Blendtrons, a new faction of Transformers that are also seeking the Angorumoa capsules. it is eventually revealed that the Blendtrons are servants of the universe-destroying Unicron; the Angolmois Energy is his lifeforce, which the Blendtrons are collecting to revive him.

Heinlad comes fully equipped (and we don't mean the clock)

Among toy collectors, Beast Wars Neo stands out for its eclectic collection of alternate forms, such as Break (a penguin), Dead End (an ammonite), Corahda (a cobra), and Longrack (a giraffe). But the most unusual Neo character of all is probably Heinlad, who transforms into a tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog), complete with sake wine bottle(!), ledger book(!!), and ovesized testicles(!!!).
